Forest City Archers

Forest City Archers

Forest City Archers Inc. (F.C.A.) is a non-profit organization established in 1954 and incorporated in 1957. Our primary objective has not changed during the past forty some years, which is to foster the sport of archery and provide a club facility for all members to enjoy.

Forest City Archers is located north-east of London and can be reached in less than 10 minutes from the city limits. The club is situated on 60 acres of land which is leased from the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (U.T.R.C.A.). The club maintains the grounds with members volunteering a small amount of their time to keep up the club operations.

Our club supports all forms of archery, from long bow, recurves, and compounds to crossbows. Our members are just as varied, including tournament shooters, hunting enthusiasts and Sunday afternoon 'plinkers'. The emphasis is having fun.

Training

The club conducts training sessions for youth groups and maintains a small stock of archery equipment for this purpose. If you have any unused equipment that you would like to donate, please contact us. We are particularly interested in recurve bows, but any equipment could be useful.

Safety

SAFETY is of prime importance at Forest City Archers. We have rules which are designed to keep the facility SAFE for all members. Anyone not following these guidelines will be asked to leave.

Target Ranges

Our club has several designated ranges, with 3d targets available year-round.

  • The Upper Practice Range has target butts at 5, 10 and 15 yards.
  • The Lower Practice Range has three targets at 20 yards, two each at 30 and 40 yards, and one each at 50 and sixty yards.
  • The Animal Round has 22 3D animal targets with 3 tree stands.
